OXFORD, Miss. -- Three goals from a pair of Gator seniors gave the University of Florida soccer team a 3-0 win over Mississippi late Sunday afternoon at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium.How the Gators Scored:The first goal of the match started when Sarah Troccoli won the ball at midfield when the Rebels were trying to move the ball forward. Troccoli moved down the middle and sent the ball right to Samantha Chung located just wide of the box. The cross from Chung found Savannah Jordan in the middle of the box. Jordan juggled for control, spun toward goal and scored from seven yards on a hard, right-footed shot.Another Gator senior scored to provide the Gators first-half goals. From just above the endline, sophomore Melanie Monteagudo sent a cross to the far post. Pamela Begi? was waiting on the end of that cross and headed it in. A Rebel defender attempted to clear that shot, but the official ruled the ball had crossed the goal.The Gators third goal started with a throw-in on the Mississippi half. The ball moved from Sarah Troccoli to Liz Slattery before Meggie Dougherty Howard received ball and moved toward goal. Her pass between a pair of Rebel defenders found Jordan in stride in the box. Jordan hit her second goal of the day with a right-footed shot from eight yards.Worth Noting:?Jordans career goals total now stands 77. She is one of 25 players in NCAA Division I history to reach that mark. Jordan is one of seven to reach that mark since 2000.Jordans goal at 6:25 is the second-quickest score for Florida in 2016.
