NRL boss Todd Greenberg has hit back at calls from Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett for an earlier release of the finals schedule.Bennett believes his preparations for week one of the finals have been thrown into disarray because he is unsure who, when or where his team will be playing.Greenberg immediately addressed the issue with Bennett and Broncos CEO Paul White on Friday morning.I said to him that when youre walking into the last round and no one knows whos going to come first or eighth, it is near impossible to then land a finals schedule, Greenberg said on Friday.Greenberg also said that the Broncos, who are currently in fourth spot following Thursdays win over the Sydney Roosters, were fortunate that they had already played their final regular season game.Waynes in the very fortunate position that hes played his last game, so his team are now resting while others are about to play, Greenberg said. Its a bit tough to be suggesting that the NRL need to lock finals in because were all about player welfare and the finals will be decided on both venue availability but also back-up times for our athletes. The Broncos could fall back to fifth spot should North Queensland defeat Gold Coast in Townsville on Saturday night.Bennett, the seven-time premiership coach, said the NRL needs to publish a schedule for the opening week of the finals much earlier than they do currently. We dont know what were doing to be honest with you. Its a bit weird, we should know, he said.We should know what fifth and eighth are doing. We dont know what days were training ... not earlier in the season, but Id like to know it now.Whoever they are, five and eight will play here on a Sunday or Saturday or whatever. We deserve that. If we dont know by Sunday if we should be back training by Sunday then weve missed a huge advantage.Vapormax Bianche Uomo . -- Derrick Rose shook off poor shooting early to hit clutch shots late and Carlos Boozer had 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 104-95 preseason victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night. Forward trio Pieter-Steph du Toit, Willem Alberts and Lood de Jager alone will be carrying 55 stone between them. Strauss, however, refused to rise to Jones comments.Thats a very interesting statement, said Strauss, who will retire from Test rugby at the end of the year. We are moving towards a style we do want to play. We know were not there yet. This is another opportunity to take a step closer. We do want to play a physical game - its in South Africas DNA and its our brand of rugby. We also want to adapt and grow as a team. Weve been doing that this year.We havent executed it that well but we are growing as a team. I dont know, I havent read and heard everything he (Jones) said but we know what we want to do so thats where the focus is. We wont get swept up by comments from our opposition. This will be South Africas first Test since their 57-15 drubbing at the hands of New Zealand, the teeams heaviest-ever defeat on home soil.dddddddddddd The result provided a suitably miserable end to a disappointing Rugby Championship that included a surprise loss to Argentina and only two wins from six overall.?The Springboks have reason to be more confident in south London, however, having not lost to England in 12 matches, a sequence that stretches back to 2006. Will that record play a part on Saturday? Not at all, Strauss said. Over the last couple of years we have gained a bit of confidence overseas playing in the northern hemisphere but its a new chapter, its not going to help us on the day.The visitors physical tactics may, however, be aided by the conditions, with heavy rain expected this weekend. It might rain, we expect that. We also prepared for that, Strauss said. Weve got a plan for when it does rain. We dont want to vary too much but you have to be wary if you play with a slippery ball on the day. Both teams are well equipped to play with a wet ball. The English have a great kicking game, they maul quite well and they have a physical pack. They are a good defensive squad so both teams can play well in wet weather. ' ' '
