Weve officially crossed the halfway mark of the NBL season as Round 10 is in the books. The league could stake its claim as being the most even professional competition in the world right now.Every side has now played a minimum of 14 games and won at least six. The difference from bottom to top is only a handful of games and when theyre all so evenly contested, trying to determine a winner is near on impossible.Individual performances were the toast of the round as Jerome Randle, Casper Ware and Casey Prather all put their name forward for the player of the round.Adelaide have gone from struggling to win games to now being the hottest team on the floor, winning their last five matches. Brisbane have gone the other way as they find themselves riding a three-game losing streak. So who and what stood out the most during Round 10?Coming for the KingsOld time rivals Sydney and Melbourne have a history of putting on classic contests. Their last two games again fit the bill. When big clashes arise, it calls for the key players to lift and get their side over the line. For the Kings those players this season have been Kevin Lisch and Brad Newley - for United for so long that player has been Chris Goulding. In the past two games though, the biggest player to shine under the bright lights has been Casper Ware - he has averaged 25.5 points per game across the last two, walking away with two victories against the top-of-the table Kings.Form SlumpThe Kings are loaded, no doubting that. They have firepower all over the floor and none can be more damaging than three point king, Jason Cadee. When he gets hot and is in rhythm there is little opposing teams can do to slow him down. Luckily for opponents Cadee has been more cold than hot this season.Over the past four rounds Cadee has scored a total of 59 points and the Kings have a 3-4 record during that span. For a player with the scoring ability of Cadee, averaging only 8.4 points during a seven game stretch isnt good enough. Can he regain his form and help get the Kings back into their dominant winning ways or will his scoring slump continue?Even SpreadOnly one game was decided by over 10 points and seven of the eight teams have between six and eight wins. Just to show how even this competition is, the bottom-of-the table New Zealand Breakers have a 7-9 record while the second placed Adelaide 36ers have an 8-6 record. You can lose one game and tumble down the standings or you could vault all the way up with a win over a top ranked side. The word upset no longer applies to the NBL as any given match is a complete coin toss. Youre not going to be surprised if the Breakers take down the Kings or if Cairns topple Perth on the road.Ware vs. PratherThe battle between Melbourne and Perth was electric enough, the game was decided by only three points and really could have gone either way.Casper Ware torched opposing point guard Jarrod Kenny on his way to 38 points and five assists. Usually numbers like that are enough to get your team over the line and earn you player of the game honours.Unfortunately, he was outdone by MVP front-runner; Casey Prather.Prather led the three major statistical categories, finishing with 39 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. It was the most unstoppable individual performance from any player so far this season.Little TakeoverMitch Creek made his triumphant return in front of a raucous home crowd however, it was Randle who stole the show. Not to be outdone by Casey Prather, Randle took it up to right up to David Stockton.Ending the game with 37 points at a ridiculously efficient 78.9 percent from the floor.Randles speed and agility was too much for the Breakers to handle as he got to anywhere he wanted to go on the floor. Whilst only hitting one shot from beyond the arc it couldnt have come at a better time, putting the 36ers up 11 with a little over a minute to play. The 36ers are now the inform team of the competition and have won five5 in a row.Kirk Cousins Womens Jersey . Mike Hughes Youth Jersey .C. -- Todd Fiddler scored a hat trick, including the overtime goal, as the Prince George Cougars survived an 8-7 win against the Kamloops Blazers in Western Hockey League play Sunday.COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Matt Calvert was beaming in the Columbus Blue Jackes locker room after scoring the winning goal with a bandaged forehead hiding about 30 stitches.Calvert returned from absorbing a slap shot that requird medical attention and scored a short-handed, tiebreaking goal in the third period to lift the Blue Jackets to a franchise-record seventh straight home win, 4-2 over the New York Rangers on Friday night. You cant script it any better that he comes back and scores the winner for us, said Sam Gagner, who also scored. Thats just an unbelievable teammate and it gives every guy on the bench a huge shot when he comes back.William Karlsson had a goal and an assist and Boone Jenner also scored for Columbus, which led 2-0 in the second period before allowing the Rangers to tie it in the third. The Blue Jackets have won three in a row overall and seven of nine. Sergei Bobrovksy had 25 saves.Michael Grabner and Mika Zibanejad scored for New York, which lost for the third time in 14 games. Henrik Lundqvist made 20 saves for the Rangers. They made it tough for us to really get going, Lundqvist said. But in the end it came down to one play. I think we feel a little disappointed even though being down 2-0 the way we lost this one.About three minutes after Zibanejad evened the score at 8:32 of the third, the Rangers were looking to take the lead on the power play, but Calvert snuck a shot under Lundqvists right arm on a 2-on-1 with Karlsson.I think when something like this happens emotions just kind of take over, Calvert said. Youre riding on adrenaline. I made a shot and it was great to see it hit the back of the net.The Rangers pressured at the end but Bobrovksy stopped Chris Kreiders close range redirection with 11.6 seconds left.Jenner scored into an empty net with Lundqvist pulled for the extra attacker.I dont think we gave them that much, Blue Jackets coach John Tortorella said. I thought we did a really goood job as far cutting down the the ice to play on as fas as entering our zone.ddddddddddddThe matchup featuring the leagues two most productive offenses was a slog in the first period. Karlsson capitalized on J.T. Millers ill-advised pass attempt across the top of the circles. He let loose a low shot with no traffic through Lundqvists legs for the first score with 3:26 left. The pace and chances picked up after that. Gagner made it 2-0 with his seventh at 5:38 on another bad clearing pass by the Rangers. Gagner knocked the puck down with his stick then wristed a shot that banked off Lundqvist before landing across the goal line.Grabner cut the deficit in half six minutes later when Columbus Ryan Murray ripped the puck into the shin pads of the speedy forward, the carrom sending Grabner on a breakaway and he lifted a shot past Bobrovksy for his 11th.On the tying score, Zibanejad found an open spot on the back side and sent a one-timer into an open net on a nice set up from Brady Skjei.Give them credit, they played a strong game but in my mind there were some areas -- puck decisions -- that we could have been a lot better at, New York coach Alain Vigneault said.Game notesThe first three goals of the game were unassisted. ...
