Last weekend, we witnessed one of the most brilliant back-and-forth final rounds of golf in major championship history. I cannot recall the last time the final two in a major ran away from the field so much so that the second-place finisher was 11 strokes clear of the third-place finisher. For golf purposes, it proved to be an amazing finish, but for fantasy enthusiasts, the sweat over many of the larger contests ended on Saturday when it became clear that you would need both Mickelson and Stenson in your lineup in order to get a sniff of a GPP victory.A few highlights about the contest itself are that DraftKings has been switching things up a bit with its Millionaire Maker contests and raised the buy-in to $33, up from the traditional $20, and also limited entries to 105,000 players. The contest did not quite fill, but nearly every other big GPP event not only filled up but did so well before lineup lock. Some owners had some reluctance with the new price point and elected to show their displeasure on Twitter or by sitting out entirely. I was pleased to see the change as the number of entries was getting way too high and removing much of the strategy piece from the game. Obviously, 100,000 entries is still a lot to overcome, but the upcoming PGA Championship will be down to 87,000, which should at least allow for some thought in terms of making some strategic plays instead of having to have the perfect lineup to win.The schedule for this season is creating a little bit of a logjam in terms of forcing a lot of big events very close together in order to accommodate the Olympics next month in Rio that most of the big-name professionals are pulling out of in droves. Last week, we had The Open Championship and next week we get the PGA Championship, meaning that within a six-week span we will have three of the four major tournaments and a WGC event. It can be tempting to push in a lot of your bankroll with so many big events all happening at once, but I want to caution you to stick to the principals of sound bankroll management and take some extra time to look at what you are getting into this week. North Queensland talisman Matt Scott is touch and go for Saturday nights NRL qualifying final against Melbourne, teammate Jason Taumololo has revealed.Scott and fellow Cowboys co-captain Johnathan Thurston were absent from Mondays finals launch in Sydney with Taumalolo standing in as the clubs representative.Thurston picked up a leg cork in Saturdays win over Gold Coast and was allowed to forego the launch because of concerns about possible effects flying on the injury. However Thurston, who also battled tonsilitis in the lead up to the clash with the Titans, is expected to be right to face the Storm. While the club was also upbeat about Scott - who missed the Titans clash because of a finger injury - being fit for week one of the finals, Taumalolo admitted the Test prop was facing a race against the clock.JT should be right to play, Thhumper (Scott) is still touch-and-go with his finger, Taumalolo said.dddddddddddd.Fingers crossed he can show up on Saturday night.Scott has missed two of the last three weeks of a back/neck injury, which has plagued him all year, and his broken finger.Taumalolo described Scott as the nucleus of the Cowboys pack and said losing him against the highly-rated Storm forwards would be a blow.He said Scotts ability to battle through injury was inspirational for him and his teammates. It just doesnt end - he had back and neck surgery a couple of years ago, hes a battler thats for sure, Taumalolo said. Its nothing different to what he does on the field. To have him in the side will be a huge confidence boost for us. ' ' '
