Former Leeds Rhinos star Kevin Sinfield has revealed he misses playing rugby league on a daily basis following his code switch. The ex-England captain brought the curtain down on his illustrious career in the 13-man game in October after leading Leeds to the treble and is now four months into his new life as rugby union player with Yorkshire Carnegie.Sinfield, whose book on his rugby league career is published on Saturday, had intended to support his old club from the stand once he quit as a player but reveals he has so far attended only one game. I went to the World Club Challenge, which was quite difficult to watch, Sinfield said. Its tough because I miss playing rugby league every single day and I will for the rest of my life, Im sure. Kevin Sinfield enjoyed a glittering career with Leeds Rhinos I played with a number of them for 10 or 15 years and those bonds will never leave you. Its been quite difficult getting the right balance between being there and giving each other a break from it.At times Ive been torn by that but I was delighted to see them win on Friday. I was at home cheering them on.The Rhinos have struggled in the absence of their inspirational former skipper, as well as the retired Jamie Peacock, and were bottom of Super League after three matches. But Leeds have won two of their last three games and Sinfield is confident they will be challenging to retain their trophies. Phil Clarke brings you his top five Super League tries of the week Theyve had a real tough spell but thats been down to injuries and to add to that the training ground was flooded and becoming nomads makes life really difficult, Sinfield said. Also the team is built for summer rugby and the conditions so far arent conducive to that. As the grounds firm up, I have complete confidence that group will flourish, as they started to do on Friday night.Sinfield would like to play for Carnegie at Premiership level, but concedes he is still getting to grips with the 15-man game. Im getting better, Sinfield said of his fly-half role. Im learning.Im still making plenty of mistakes, as you could imagine for somebody who had never played a game in his life. The lads have been really welcoming and Ive really enjoyed the challenge. To have something like this at 35 has been brilliant, its probably opened my eyes a bit.It looks very similar to rugby league but when you start playing its so, so different. Ive played league since I was seven and to suddenly break down some of those instincts and start to find fresh ones is very, very difficult. Its been testing but Im glad I did it.Watch Kevin Sinfield and Yorkshire Carnegie host Bedford on Easter Sunday, live on Sky Sports 3 HD from 3.45pm Also See: Anfield may host Four Nations final WATCH: Phil Clarkes top five tries WATCH: Super League Full Time Burgess released from hospital Cheap Yeezys Shoes Australia . The teams decision to swap Daniil Kvyat with Verstappen was the major pre-weekend talking point but the Dutchman justified their faith in him in abundance, smashing Formula 1 records as he kept Kimi Raikkonen at bay in Barcelona.I think hes already marked himself out as a superstar of the future and justified the faith Red Bull has shown in him. What he has clearly got is an ability to perform under pressure, Horner told Sky Sports News. When Kimi Raikkonen was following him, never once did he put a wheel wrong or brake a lock-up. Hes incredibly calm under pressure. Simon Lazenby has the story of the controversial decision by Red Bull to swap Daniil Kvyat for Max Verstappen. Verstappens maiden F1 victory was also Red Bulls first in two years and the former world champions are expected to perform strongly again in two weeks time at a Monaco circuit which should suit their car.To score his first victory now, becoming the youngest grand prix victor on his debut for the team is fairytale stuff, added Horner. I suspect hes going to get stronger when he gets more experienced, more familiar in the car. His confidence will grow. The win required Verstappen to eke out 32 laps on the medium compound, but the 18-year-old had no problems with the unfancied two-stop strategy, and his mentality impressed Horner.Brundle: Verstappen F1s new beginningI think the biggest aspect of his weekend has been his calmness, he explained. Were all getting tense when theres five laps to go, because the tyres were at the end of their life and hes got Kimi breathing down his neck with what looked like obvious advantages. He very calmly caame on the radio and said please can you ask Charlie to deal with the blue flags swiftly.dddddddddddd. There was no agitation in his voice, there was no panic, there was no tension. It was a young man who was completely in control of what he was doing. Max Verstappen says its amazing to have won his first Grand Prix, with the Red Bull driver becoming the youngest man in history to win an F1 race. Horner could only offer his sympathy to Daniel Ricciardo, who was leading the race before Red Bull brought him into the pits in an attempt to counter the threat of Ferraris Sebastian Vettel.Verstappen, meanwhile, has a long way to go if he his to match four-time world champion Vettel, but his career seems to be following a similar trend already having made the jump from Toro Rosso to winning races so quickly. And thats not where the early comparisons end, according to his new team boss.Verstappen: The power of youthIts quite uncanny really because theres an awful lot of similarities to when Sebastian joined the team, Horner added. Mechanics were telling me that even the way he gets in the car is similar. Same side, the way he pulls his knee up to get into the chassis, and so on.But hes his own man as well. Hes a very together young man, youd never have thought he was 18. Every race live in 2016 Sky Sports F1 brings you every race live in 2016.
